The Market Access Manager supports the growth of the Oncology Division by driving the market access strategy within the franchise and striving for the optimal pricing and launch timing. The position holder ensures ideal market access conditions for products during the whole lifecycle by cooperating and aligning with the national, regional and global colleagues. Furthermore, the Market Access Manager establishes partnerships with key stakeholders and decision makers to facilitate for patients fast and early access to medicines.


Your Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the product value proposition and the pricing and reimbursement (P&R) strategy according to the internal guidance and adapted to market situation.
  • Align with cross-functional national / regional / global teams in order to obtain access for new and existing products / therapy solutions enabling fast and broad patient access.
  • Prepare reimbursement dossiers and driving development of HTA health economic studies for innovative medicines and coordinate the submission to Health Authorities.
  • Understand payer’s requirements and needs by translating them in high quality health economic evidence.
  • Leverage results from epidemiological studies, economic models, clinical trials and budget impact analyses and support price negotiation.
  • Prepare the best P&R conditions throughout the whole product lifecycle (LoE included)
  • Support the Market Access Liaison functions on any topics related to access by developing local evidence packages, programs and materials.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies (i.e. tenders, offers, deals) in line with plan decisions through viable commercial relationships.
  • Participate proactively in brand teams (>10) to make sure all access and value assessment needs are included in overall product strategy.
  • Build continuous awareness of the National Health Care environment. Pharma regulations and country political landscape in order to optimize the oncological product access strategies.
  • Support compliance in all interactions throughout the organization and ensure that all processes and activities are in line with internal and external policies


Candidate Profile:

  • Completed University degree in scientific, legal, (health) economics or related disciplines
  • Significant experience in a Market Access function at national level within the Austrian pharmaceutical industry and / or health economics or analytics
  • Well-developed understanding of the National Health Care and Regulatory Environment, drug P&R and listing processes – preferably with a focus on hospital structures
  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators and other key stakeholders
  • Track record of effectively managing other professionals
  • Solid life cycle management expertise with regards to complex scientific therapeutic areas and compounds
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics
  • Solid experience in project management within complex structures
  • Driven by achieving superior results and by exceeding expectations
  • Innovative and creative thinking as well as highly analytical mindset
  • Solution-orientated personality with a strong and empathetic customer focus
  • Teamplayer: Cross-divisional and functional thinking and ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams
  • Integrative, open-minded and resilient personality with a high level of enthusiasm & ambition
  • Fluency in English and German language
  • Excellent command of Excel

For this position our client offers an attractive and competitive compensation package: an annual gross salary of approx. EUR 70.000,- plus bonus, car and fringe benefits. Our client is willing to overpay further to market level depending on experience and qualification.
